What I thought was just a rainy walk on this special beach turned into the happiest moment of my life. Words can’t describe how I felt when you suddenly got down on one knee 🥹🥹

Our 15-year-old selves would also be in awe of this moment! A million times yes to the most caring man I know, with every part of my heart!! 🤍

What I didn’t know:
Raphi had secretly arranged everything with a local photographer from Byron! She was hiding nearby, ready to capture our special moment without me having a clue!! 🥹

🏙 River Walk in the Central District + Mulga Bills – Morning walk with skyline views, the Botanic Gardens & a coffee break
🧺 Milton Sunday Market – Flowers, food & local vibes – a must on Sundays

This laid-back coastal paradise in New South Wales offers stunning beaches, breathtaking sunrises, and a unique outdoor vibe.

Our recommendations:

• Cape Byron Lighthouse Walk
Start early and look out for dolphins 🐬 and colorful birds. Depending on the season, you might even spot humpback whales 🐋

• Tea Tree Lake
A hidden natural gem right by Tallow Beach — perfect for some peace and nature. We were the only ones there! The lake has also a healing effect due to the surrounding tea trees.

• Wategos Beach and the Pass
Great spot for surf vibes and relaxing beach days.

• Killen Falls (about 25 minutes away)
Short, easy hike to a waterfall with a small cave behind it — a real highlight!

• No Bones
Delicious vegan restaurant.

• Generalstore
Perfect for café vibes and a relaxed brunch.

Especially in remote areas like the stretch between Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree, gas stations can be few and far between. Fill up in advance!

• National Park Passes
The America the Beautiful pass pays off if you’re visiting 3 or more national parks — a great deal for any road trip!
