We travelled off-season — fewer people around, often having the places entirely to ourselves.

We stayed in a small motel in Port Campbell and chose to spend two nights, even though all spots are super close to each other —simply to enjoy sunrise and sunset at different places along our road trip.

📍Coastal Highlights:
• Twelve Apostles
• Gibson Steps
• The Grotto
• London Bridge
• Bakers Oven

Tip: Visit in off-season and stay longer than you think — it’s so worth it!

Where we stayed:
📍Portside Motel
The service was better than in some 5-star hotels. We even got to choose our room because we arrived first that day. And when the coffee machine broke, the owner surprised us with a voucher for the café next door — the sweetest gesture 🥺🥹

Only about a 10-minute drive from Port Campbell.

Tip: Check the tides! At low tide you’ll see those magical blue-green reflections in the water inside the grotto.
